Digital PhotoArt is a process in which a digital image (your scanned photo or scanned drawing) undergoes transformations and enhancements to create different artistic effects and styles.
We can take your photograph and scan it into our computer or use your scanned photograph. A saved photo taken from your digital camera also allows us the format we need to do our transformations.
Our technical software gives us the ability to enhance and transform your photograph into different styles without altering the original photograph. Your original photo stays in your possession and is unharmed. All work is done using the digital image.

What are Digital Touch-up and Enhancements?
Digital touch-ups is a process in which a digital image may be slightly altered. Generally it means the removal of flaws (dust, scratches, blemishes, red eye, etc.). Digital enhancements process can include applying lighting, coloring, special effects, or replacing the background to change the look of the photo.

What is the difference between resizing and cropping?
Resizing is a way of enlarging the whole photograph to a desired size or reducing the whole photograph to a desired size.
Cropping is a way of digitally cutting away excess background of a photograph. This lets us position the main subject of a photograph in a more favorable way.

What is included with the basic PhotoArt transformation.
Every PhotoArt transformation includes a professional scan if required of your photo. The photo is checked for scan dust for a super clean image. We sharpen the image for the best definition possible. The photo is resized and formatted to the final print size. Your choice of artistic style is then applied to the photo.

What is background replacement?
Background replacement is a process which our staff carefully removes the original background leaving only the main subjects. A new background is then added to the photo. PICasso Gifts 'n Things offers over 30 background choices in styles ranging from muslin, step, curtain, canvas , and swirl.
Our price includes removing the background surrounding up to 2 subjects. For group photos, please contact our staff for a quote.

What photo touch ups are available?
We offer resizing: adjusting the subjects to blend into the photo.
Cropping: creating a focal point by removing excess background.
Minor touch ups: removing minor surface scratches, spots, small blemishes, and colour adjustments.
Red eye repainting: removing the red discolour sometimes caused by the flash of a camera. Please indicate the actual eye colour in the comment section when ordering.
Advance touch ups: done by quote only. Contact our staff and we will discuss the best way to obtain the results desired.

What is the difference between PhotoArt Gifts and Personalized Gifts?
Personalized Gifts is using your photo or art work 'as is' and applying it directly to any of our product line. PhotoArt Gifts uses your PhotoArt rendering and applies this to any of our product line.
A unique gift idea is creating a PhotoArt print with matching coasters.
